Well before everything got changed on the website I predicted the only way the Celtics are gonna win some games is to start Kendrick Perkins and sit Raef Lafrentz. Tonight they did just that and outlasted the Atlantic Divison rival the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kendrick Perkins has two carrear highs in 12 points and 19 rebounds. Paul Pierce scored 32 and added 11 rebounds for another double double. Ricky Davis had 26 points and 5 rebounds. Delonte West was just a little shy of a triple double just shy in every category with 8 points 7 rebounds a 6 assists. Mark Blount had 8 points and 7 rebounds.
Allen Iverson had 40 points and continued his streak of 40 points or more in his last three games and leads the league in points scored per game with 33.6.
The Celtics next game is against the Chicago Bulls. If they start who they started tonight and make the right choice they should pull out on top. Ever since I have stopped predicting final scores the Celtics are 2-1 so theirs no prediction on Friday nights game.
* In another note Celtics legend John Havlicek was in attendance. Check My Sig.
