After a season high five game losing streak (mostly on the road) the Hornets bounced back before heading to OKC for a home stand.
J.R. Smith scored a season-high 26 points Monday night in a 91-87 win at Phoenix, sinking clutch free throws in the final minute to salt away the game.
It was a reversal of the teams trend to take a lead into the fourth quarter only to lose in the end.
The Hornets headed back to the Ford Center for a home game with the LA Clippers on Wednesday night and had six players score in double figures. Smith once again had a good shooting performance, making a career high six three point shots in the game, in the 102-89 Hornets victory.
It was the Clippers third loss in a row, (something the team may have been accustomed to last season) a season long losing streak.
The Hornets host Phoenix on Friday, who are also riding a three game losing streak after another loss to Dallas. Then Dallas comes to town Sunday and New Orleans/Oklahoma City will need to win both games just to get back to .500.
